Chantilly racecourse was holding for the first time of its history the prestigious weekend of the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. This historical event fulfilled all its promises with a result in the best race in the world unlikely to ever be repeated: master Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien recorded 1-2-3 in the G1 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe when Found led home in record time Highland Reel and Order of St George. The exploit is also on the stellar Galileo, sire of the winning Ballydole trio.

Out of the 15 stellar outings on the card of this tremendous weekend, ARQANA Racing Club's handlers recorded brilliant results. On Saturday 01 October, the Nicolas Clément-trained The Juliet Rose set the ball rolling when scoring a beautiful three-lengths success in the G2 Qatar Prix de Royallieu. A few hours later, the Christophe Ferland-charged Heshem finished an excellent second in the G2 Qatar Prix Dollar under the colours of Al Shaqab Racing. Both runners were bought in2014 at the ARQANA August Yearling Sale.

The following day, the two-year-old National Defense displayed all his talent to score the G1 Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère on Sunday. The Christiane Head-Maarek's charge bought by Sun Bloodstock at the 2015 August Yearling Sale is announced as a good contender for the 2017 season.

Trainer of the new syndicate Ecurie Triptych, Francis-Henri Graffard proved once again his talent when Karar finished a brilliant second in the G1 Qatar Prix de la Forêt under the colours of Al Shaqab Racing. The son of Invincible Spirit was also bought in 2014 at ARQANA when going under the hammer of the Breeze Up Sale.
