Not only the winner for a second time of the G1 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on last October, 7 at ParisLongchamp racecourse, the Prince Khalid Abdullah-owned and John Gosden-trained superstar Enable also became the first horse in history to win on Saturday one of the race of the world famous Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs (USA), only one month after the French huge test. After a thrilling finish with the Aidan O'Brien-protégé Magical, she run her heart out to cross the finish line first with crack jockey Frankie Dettori in the saddle : « The ground didn't help her. She acts better on softer ground and found the track difficult today. She is a superstar ! ». André Fabre's two charges, Waldgeist and Talismanic, finished respectively fifth and sixth of the race.
 
The French flag was also carried by G1 Prix de Diane-placed Sistercharlie who added a fourth G1 success to her USA tally when getting the better of the Godolphin-owned and Charlie Appleby-trained hot favorite Wild Illusion in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf. Consigned by her breeder Ecurie des Monceaux at the ARQANA October Yearling Sale, the daughter of Myboycharlie was secured by Paul Nataf. For her owner Peter Brant, “Sistercharlie is the filly of a life”, as much as he acquired almost all the siblings : My Sister Nat purchased last week, Sottsass, a son of Siyouni bought for €340,000 at the 2017 ARQANA August Yearling Sale and a son of Charm Spirit acquired as a yearling for €400,000 at the same rendezvous a year after.
