Francis-Henri Graffard increases victories at the highest level

21 November 2016

Francis-Henri Graffard has added another victory to his training book when Narnia Dawn easily secured the Listed ‘Prix Cérès' at Fontainebleau Racecourse on Thursday 17 November. This three-year-old filly was purchased as a foal at the ARQANA Breeding Stock Sale for €29,000 by Börje Olsson. A week before, Heuristique established herself at the same level in the Listed ‘Critérium du Languedoc' at Toulouse Racecourse, a filly having also gone through the ARQANA ring during the August Yearling Sale last year, fetching €100,000.

Another resident of Francis-Henri Graffard's Chantilly based stable will for his part attempt to add another Group 1 victory to his form on 27 November. The Niarchos Family representative, ERUPT, has headed to Japan to contest the Gr.1 Japan Cup after taking the Gr.1 Canadian International Stakes in Canada last month. He will run for the first time under Champion Jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot as his usual jockey, Stéphane Pasquier, was unable to obtain authorisation this year to ride in Japan.
