Frankel has unquestionably marked the horse racing history with his incredible performances on the track and never ceased to amaze when becoming a stallion. Bred by his owner the Prince Khalid Adbullah (Juddmonte Farm), this son of champion stallion Galileo holds the nine in a row wins record at Group 1 level and met the rating record of 147 in 2011.

- He was named Frankel in tribute to Bobby Frankel, an American trainer who passed away in 2009 and added to Prince Khalid Abdullah's tally a numerous of success.
- “Quality colt, tall with size and scope. Strong hind legs. Very good foal,” was Banstead Manor Stud manager assessment of the newborn Frankel.
- He went into training with legendary Sir Henry Cecil on January 2010 aged two.
- Some Newmarket gallop watchers reported that Frankel outpaced the Cambridge to Newmarket train during one of his workouts in March 2011.
- His official rating of 140 is the highest since the World Thoroughbred Rankings records began in 1977.
- His cumulative winning distance was 76¼ lengths. His average winning distance was 5.4 lengths.
- Frankel's amazing victory in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot on 19 June 2012 provided his owner Prince Khalid Abdullah with his 100th Group 1 victory in Europe.
- He is the first horse in history to win the Gr.1 Sussex Stakes at Goodwood twice.

Stallion at Judmmonte Farm since 2013, Frankel also records stunning results with his offsprings. His first born foal, Cunco, also became his sire's first runner and first winner when crossing the line first at Newbury on May 2016. Two months later, Fair Eva scored the Gr.3 Princess Margaret Juddmonte Stakes and became Frankel's first Group winner.
