Two renowned trainers
for Omnium Racing Club

Nicolas Clément was well and truly bred for the job as his father Miguel was a renowned trainers in the 60's-70's. Having learned the ropes in the USA and then in Ireland working for the greatest trainers of that time, he then became assistant to the master François Boutin at a time when he trained the unforgettable Miesque. Only two years after taking his training licence, he bagged the ultimate prize when Saumarez won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Since then, Nicolas has had the joy of saddling numerous other Group winners such as Stormy River, Vespone and more recently Yellow and Green and Style Vendome.

A truly « horse man », Nicolas likes to share his passion of racing being synonymous with a « convivial pleasure » … some qualities unanimously recognised by all the Vendôme Racing Club's members (Vendôme Racing Club was the first racing syndicate launched in 2013 under the ARQANA Racing Club banner and with Nicolas Clément as the main trainer).

« I am delighted to be Omnium Racing Club's main trainer and I think we will enjoy a fabulous adventure ! Racing syndicates are an excellent opportunity to discover, re-discover or enjoy racing, with quality horses and friendly moments ».

In just four seasons, rookie trainer Christophe Ferland has managed to make a name for himself amongst the South West training elite and bag a place in the top 10 trainers in France by prizemoney (2013). As well as being an excellent trainer who likes to share his passion, he is also an excellent judge of yearlings having bought 7 yearlings on behalf of Simon Springer at the 2010 August sale, who between them went on to win over €1,000,000 in prizemoney whilst in his care. Chief among these was the outstanding two year old Dabirsim, crowned highest rated two year old in Europe with an unbeaten record in 5 starts, including Group 1 Prix Morny and Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère.

« I am thrilled to be one of the two Omnium Racing Club's trainers and I think racing syndicates are an excellent opportunity. It is a secured adventure for all the members, with limited risks but always with lots of fun. It is also particularly rich from a human perspective as I think it is amazing to share your passion with people hailing from a variety of backgrounds.
Being a trainer is for me a dream come true, as I have always been involved with horses. I like to get them ready, to see their physical and mental evolution over the months and to progressively bring them to their best. It is fascinating ».
