Royal Ascot is a magnificient and a high-class meeting. During five days, all the best thoroughbred in the world are competing together in front of an elegant and enthousiast crowd. During this event, eight Gr.1 races will be held in addition to many other high-level races for 2 year-old horses. Many horses trained in France will be in Ascot to rise the French flag on the field of Queen Elisabeth.
On this first day, the first race crowned as the first Gr.1 was the awaited fight between Able Friend and Solow, two horses unbeaten in 6 starts. The daple grey Solow owned by Wertheimer & Frère landed an outstanding winahead of an other French-trained horse : Esoterique. Notably beaten by the Freddy Head trained horse and jockey Maxime Guyon, Able Friend finished sixth.
