The French Guineas, known as the Poules d'Essai des Poulains et des Pouliches (Grs.1), will exceptionally be held at Deauville-La Touques racecourse on Sunday 15 May due to the new Longchamp racecourse under construction.
 
At the origin, the French Guineas were prep races for the Groups 1 Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de Diane. Today, these contests run over the distance of 1,600 meters are part of the prestigious Classical program and have become a main objective for three-year-olds athletes.
